Why Go
Enjoy a guided walking tour of Calgary's downtown and learn about Calgary's history. These tours are offered daily from May 15 to September 15, and available upon request the rest of the year. Meet at the iconic Calgary Tower and get ready to tour around to many of the most famous sites in Calgary. From the world-famous Stampede Grounds to Olympic Plaza, to the Confluence Historic Site and Parkland. Listen to stories from the past about riots, military mobs, and how the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth was formed. The tour ends in historic Inglewood, the perfect place to continue your adventure on your own through the oldest part of Calgary. Otherwise, you can rest your feet and fill your bellies at any one of the many restaurants, pubs, and micro-breweries in the area.
What's Great
Specialty tours offered year round are the Historic French Village of Rouleauville, in French or English, or discover the Cowboy Trail. Day tours available for small groups of surrounding areas include Calgary Stampede, Blackfoot Crossing, Drumheller, Canmore and Banff. Each tour is different because each group is different. The length is solely dependent upon the group; their level of interest, number of questions asked, walking pace, break time, etc.
Local Tip:
Private tours for two people can be accommodated, for a set price.
