What's Great
Discover The Spirit of Motion, a free multimedia exhibition located at the base of the Calgary Tower. The exhibit marks the 35th anniversary of the 1988 Olympic Winter Games, and commemorates the five athletes that medalled for Canada at the Olympic Winter Games. It also features 43 pieces of original artwork created by artist Bill Brownridge, alongside a digital interactive exhibit that features the stories, artefacts, and videos of the five medalists, the 1988 Olympic torch and Bill Brownridge. Visit the exhibition at the base of the Calgary Tower until August 2, 2024. Created by Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame, in partnership with The Bill Brownridge Family and the Calgary Tower.
Local Tip:
As Canada's only national museum of sport, the organization's focus is on curating experiences, content and stories, from our more than 700 Hall of Famers, that are reaching far beyond our walls and providing us with the opportunity to educate all Canadians on the values, history and culture of sport in this country. We invite you to visit pop-up exhibits throughout the city of Calgary and our website for online educational opportunities.
