Why Go
Welcome to Transformation Fine Art, Canada’s first Inuk owned Inuit art gallery specializing in Master Works of Inuit art. What's Great
As a second generation Inuit art dealer, Sophia's family has promoted Inuit art for over 30 years through an Arctic based Inuit art cooperative to galleries in Western Canada. Inuit on her mother’s side and Greek on her father’s, she was raised in Arviat, Nunavut on the coast of the Hudson’s Bay. Her childhood was spent between the Arctic and Greece where her keen eye for art was developed. Her family in Arviat had an art cooperative and she grew up understanding the intricate art production system in the Arctic and how to connect collectors meaningfully with the art.
Local Tip:
Visits to the gallery are by appointment only. Sophia also appraises art, consults on private collections and corporate gifting.
