Did you #CaptureCalgary this summer? Whether you've captured the perfect sunset over the city or a fun day floating on the Bow River, you can submit your photo for a chance to win the ultimate weekend in Calgary!
This contest is open from July 27 to August 10, 2023. Tourism Calgary will select the top 10 photos that best represent summer experiences in Calgary. On August 16, we will post the selects on Tourism Calgary’s Instagram account. The photo with the most votes in the comments section of the post by end of day on August 21 will win! The winner will be contacted on August 23.
Prize Details:
- One (1) night's accommodation at the Fairmont Palliser (subject to availability, Stampede blackout dates apply)
- $150 gift card to Barbarella
- $150 gift card to The Establishment Brewing Company
- Two (2) tickets for the Calgary Tower
Accommodation at the Fairmont Palliser is valid until July 31, 2024. All other prizing must be redeemed within 1 year of the date awarded.
Photo Specifications:
- Images must be beautiful and aspirational. Refer to the gallery above for inspiration.
- High-resolution photography is required
- Images must be free of watermarks, filters, and heavy editing
- Images can be vertical or horizontal
- Images must be located within Calgary and taken within the last two years
- Images can feature a local business or include people as long as you have obtained the rights to do so
- Images should reflect scenes and experiences of summer in Calgary
You may submit multiple images at one time, and/or make multiple submissions throughout the duration of the contest. By uploading content, you agree that you have all the necessary rights and permissions to do so.
The photos submitted may be added to Tourism Calgary's asset library. By participating in this contest, you agree to Tourism Calgary's Internal Content License Agreement, granting Tourism Calgary the right to use your photos for any advertising purposes, including but not limited to social media, digital, print, and traditional advertising. Please review these terms prior to entering this contest. Tourism Calgary cannot guarantee the photo will be credited, but will make efforts to do so when possible.

- This contest is open to residents of Canada, excluding Quebec
- Entrants must be at least 18 years of age, or the legal age of majority in their jurisdiction
- No purchase necessary
- Approximate value of prize is $1,000 CAD
- All information collected is used solely for contact purposes and adheres to Tourism Calgary's privacy policy
- Prize includes items as outlined above only. All other costs, such as travel, parking, or gratuity are not included or provided by Tourism Calgary or any partner of the organization

- Tourism Calgary assumes no responsibility for technical issues related to entering the contest, such as a server overload
- This contest will open at 10:00 AM MST on Thursday, July 27, 2023, and will close at 11:59 PM MST on Thursday, August 10, 2023
- Multiple photo submissions do not necessarily increase your chance of winning
- Tourism Calgary will select the top 10 photos at our discretion. On Wednesday, August 16, 2023, we will post and solicit votes for the best out of the top 10 photos via Tourism Calgary's Instagram account. The photo with the most votes in the comments section of the post by 11:59PM MST on Monday, August 21, 2023 will win. The winner will be contact on Wednesday, August 23, 2023.
- Tourism Calgary has the right to disqualify any submissions that do not meet the requirements above or that contain inappropriate or vulgar content
