Customized Destination Microsite
Connecting delegates with what they need to know when visiting Calgary, a customized destination microsite adds value for your attendees. Driven by your content preferences, our event services team will build a microsite highlighting:
Calgary is world renowned for innovative, creative and unique cuisine. In the downtown core alone, there are over 200 restaurants. From exquisite fine dining to casual cowboy fare, Calgary’s cuisine is sure to tantalize every palate.
From the majestic Rocky Mountains to dry desert terrain, the province of Alberta offers a diverse range of landscapes and experiences. With six UNESCO World Heritage Sites located in Alberta, Calgary is uniquely positioned to enable you to explore the different regions and sites within the province.
Calgary is home to an exciting collection of attractions that will spark your imagination and get your heart racing. From bobsledding at Canada Olympic Park to the sky-high views of the Calgary Tower, our city has great must-see attractions for an experience you will never forget.
White Hat Ceremony
The white hat is an iconic symbol of Calgary’s international reputation for unrivalled hospitality and our passion to be the Ultimate Hosts.
Since 1950, Calgary has been proudly presenting the white cowboy hats to visitors, dignitaries and guests. When you are presented a white hat it means you came to Calgary as a visitor; however, you are leaving as a friend. Each year, thousands of white hats are presented to Calgary visitors through special White Hat Ceremonies. The ceremony involves presenting participants (delegates, visiting guest speakers, VIPs) with a white hat, followed by repeating the traditional Calgary white hat oath.
VIP Airport Meet & Greet
Organize a custom welcome for your group arriving into YYC. The Group Reception Desk is located on the arrivals level and may be booked for arriving and departing groups who require a reception desk for registering or greeting visitors. Organizations may book one or all of the Airport Kiosks, which are located in key areas of the arrival level and may service as greet/information stations for your delegates. Or begin the trip with a White Hat Ceremony performed by the white hat volunteers at YYC.
Request a special welcome at the Calgary International Airport.
Pre & Post Event Experiences
Use Calgary as your basecamp for adventure. With the spectacular Rocky Mountains to the west, Dinosaur Provincial Park to the east, and Waterton Lakes National Park to the south, your delegates will have endless reasons to register for your next event.
