Hear from Governor General Award-winning Architect Lorne Simpson about the meticulous restoration of Lougheed House from neglected property to magnificent mansion museum. Attendees will also have the opportunity to tour the house and see the current exhibition, The Return of Restore and Revive, which focuses on architectural history and the restoration work of a committed community in the late 1990s.

Lougheed House opened to the public as a museum in 2005. In 2025 Lougheed House will mark its 20th anniversary as a public museum and park. Lougheed House was built in 1891 and is a National and Provincial Historic Site. Located in Calgarys greater downtown amid acres of heritage gardens and green space, Lougheed House is an accredited museum, significant Calgary landmark, and vibrant community gathering space. It features temporary and permanent exhibits, hosts events, tours, and learning opportunities for visitors of all ages, as well as a gift shop and private event space.
