The Confluence: Past, Present & Future
Explore the rich history and future developments of The Confluence at this engaging event. Phase 1 of a complete exhibit overhaul is underway, and attendees can take a sneak peek at the construction progress. The event includes a 30-minute presentation in the Burnswest Theatre, followed by a guided walk through the cultural centre. Learn about the land's significance to Indigenous Peoples, the establishment of Fort Calgary, and the site's evolution over time.

Chinook Poetry Reading
Celebrate local literature and wintertime in southern Alberta at this special poetry reading. Winners of The Confluence’s second annual Chinook Poetry Competition will share their works about winter and the land. Following the readings, enjoy a community reception in The Confluence Room, where the poems will be displayed throughout the winter.

Snow Rodeo FIS Snowboard Slopestyle & Halfpipe World Cups
The Snow Rodeo returns with a double-header event at WinSport’s Canada Olympic Park . Don’t miss the FIS Halfpipe World Cup on February 21 and the FIS Slopestyle World Cup on February 22. Saddle up for a weekend of world-class snowboarding action.

Snow Down: It's Snow Mystery
Check out this free, family-friendly game that promotes mindfulness and creativity through exploration and observation. Collect game cards at participating businesses and visit Snow Down Headquarters to craft your own personalized Snow Down Globe—a calming, mindful object. Suitable for all ages; no artistic skills required.

East Village Nordic Loop
Embrace winter by skiing the East Village Nordic Loop , a free 1-kilometre cross-country trail in the heart of Calgary. Open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., this groomed loop offers an accessible urban skiing experience. Remember to bring your own skis.

Hygge Hut Presented By East Village
Cozy is back in the East Village with the return of the outdoor Hygge Hut ! Located just off RiverWalk Plaza, Hygge Hut is a big warm East Village hug. The outdoor Scandinavian-style hut features a fire pit, benches, and shop filled with cozy local goods.
