Based on the hit video game, The Last of Us is a post-apocalyptic series on HBO starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey. It's not only the first HBO series to be based on a video game, but the majority of Season 1 was filmed in Calgary & across Alberta, including sets constructed at SAIT, Inglewood, the Beltline, and other locations throughout downtown. The Last of Us debuted on HBO Max on January 15, 2023, earning it the title of second most-watched HBO premiere ever.
