Rouge offers multiple rooms for private functions and an escape to France’s wine country minutes from downtown in Calgary’s trendy Inglewood neighbourhood. The restaurant occupies the former property of famous Albertan A.E. Cross, a prominent Canadian rancher and one of the Big Four founders of the Calgary Stampede. Huge trees and an orchard on the property lend privacy to a garden patio, while an expansive garden nourishes Rouge’s menu with rich, homegrown flavour. Chef Paul Rogalski draws his inspiration from the seasons. He crafts Rouge’s cuisine to showcase the foods of local producers and growers at their most flavourful. Food is the medium for his art, where textures, colours and flavours come together in surprising combinations with delicious results. Rouge shows its strong commitment to sustainable food production by maintaining Ocean Wise and Seafood Watch accreditations. Rouge was honoured to be named one of S.Pellegrino World’s Best Restaurants in 2010. In the centrally located Inglewood neighborhood.
