Kananaskis Whitewater Rafting lets you get up close and personal with Alberta's Bow and Kananaskis Rivers, either with some heart-pounding white-water rafting, or a kinder, gentler float trip.

In addition to guided rafting trips,  Kananaskis Whitewater Rafting offers up other kinds of adventure, including a "surf and saddle" day, which involves rafting in the morning and horseback riding in the afternoon. For hardy adventurers, there's also riverboarding, where riders climb on a boogie board and have a chance to surf through the rapids.

There's no experience necessary for the rafting and float trips –  Kananaskis Whitewater Rafting's experienced guides will show you the ropes. However, riverboarders do need to be strong swimmers and over 16 years of age.

Trips start and finish in Bow Valley Provincial Park, 45 minutes west of Calgary on Hwy. 1.
