Theatre Calgary brings Canadian and international plays to life on stage. Entertaining Calgary visitors and Calgarians since the 1940s, Theatre Calgary is a permanent headliner for Calgary’s arts scene.
Theatre Calgary performances range from contemporary works by local playwrights to seasonal classics, musicals with live orchestras to international productions. Theatre Calgary is housed in the 780-seat Max Bell Theatre at the Epcor Centre for the Performing Arts next to Olympic Plaza. The Centre’s stage is large enough to accommodate huge touring productions from around the world. Theatre Calgary hosts five annual productions as well as two Special Presentations per year.
All of the productions' sets and costumes are produced by local artists, making the performances at Theatre Calgary representative of the best of Calgary’s arts and cultural scene. Weekday and Weekend shows. Tickets: 403-294-7447.
