CRACKLE…SpacePort Ground Control to you. Come in you – to SpacePort, where you’ll marvel at the wonders of space travel. SpacePort is a place where young imaginations run wild. Hands-on exhibits and displays use advanced computers, simulations and communications technology to teach kids about space and aeronautics. Thousands of visitors have tested the SpacePort’s wind tunnel, climbed into the cockpit of a Beaver plane and guided the Sojourner Mars Microrovers – just to name a few of the exhibits.
Calgary International Airport has a one-quarter size exact prototype of the Space Shuttle orbiter on loan from NASA, plus a moon rock brought back by an Apollo mission.
