As ultimate hosts, Tourism Calgary attracts, develops, promotes and activates festivals, events and meetings and conventions. In 2018, Tourism Calgary supported 89 events that generated $108 million in economic impact and 53 meetings and conventions that generated $29 million in delegate spending.

Calgary's tourism industry must work collaboratively to deliver on the comprehensive destination experience and to extend visitors' time in our city.

As activators, Tourism Calgary leverages services like the #askmeyyc roaming team and online concierge to facilitate over 1.2 million partner referrals annually. Through programs like the award-winning White Hat Academy, Tourism Calgary ensures its network of over 4,800 frontline ambassadors is equipped with the knowledge, tools and resources needed to extend visitors' time in-destination.
